Record-breaking Saint James track star signs with Duke University
MONTGOMERY, Ala. — Saint James senior Presley Miles has made her college decision. The State Champion track star has committed to run cross country and track at Duke University. Miles was joined by her family as she announced her decision. She was recruited by several Division I schools but said she fell in love with Duke at a running camp.
Miles is the first Alabama athlete in history, male or female, to win the 400, 800, 1600 and 3200 meter State Championship in a single season. She has achieved this honor three times. She has been the leader of the Saint James State Championship team for four consecutive years and holds 16 individual titles as she enters into her senior season. She has over 175 podium finishes, over 100 of which were overall victories. Additionally, she holds multiple state records, all-time course records and meet records, along with her various titles.
