Schobelock and Lynch lead the way for the Shermans at the Chieftain Center Indoor Invite

CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — Unioto distance headed to Logan, Ohio for the Chieftain Center Indoor Mini Invite in preparation for state indoor.

Leading the way for the Sherman boys were Corey Schobelock and Gabe Lynch.

Schobelock won the boys 3200 meters in a time of 9:56, which all things standing should qualify him for the state indoor meet held in March at the SPIRE Insitute in Geneva, Ohio.

Gabe Lynch placed top 10 in two events. He placed 10th in the boys 800 meters with a time of 2:21 and 7th in the 1600 meters with a time of 4:38.

Seth Ogan is also vying for a spot at the state indoor meet with his performance of 10:15 in the boys 3200 meters, which landed him 5th on the night.

Overall the Unioto runners put in a solid performance.

Clayton Lynch ran a 2:22 in the 800 meters and 4:52 in the 1600 meters, narrowly missing the top 10 in both events.

Three other Sherman runners made the top 20 in the boys 1600 meters. Rowen Lloyd, J.J. Larue, and Caden Larue (5:00, 5:00, 5:01).

Unioto track and field will head to Geneva, Ohio SPIRE Insitute for their next challenge. Hoping to gain more state qualifiers for the indoor state meet held in early March.
