Bellingham football off to undefeated start

BELLINGHAM, Mass. (BVM) — The Bellingham football team is making sure to get off on the right foot in its spring campaign. After starting last year 0-3, the Blackhawks have flipped their previous record, getting out to a perfect 3-0 start in 2021.

In the team’s most recent matchup against Dover-Sherborn, senior quarterback Gavin Elder carved up the Raiders’ defense, passing for 257 yards and three touchdowns. Ty Warren was the recipient of all three touchdowns passes while racking up 126 receiving yards.

Bellingham senior Blake Simpson continued his solid senior season as well, combining for 191 total yards and two touchdowns in the Blackhawks 43-7 win, on senior day.

The red-hot opening for the Blackhawks has them off to one of their best starts in the past decade as they sit in contention for the Tri-Valley League Small title. An upcoming matchup against Medway will look to preview the two team’s title aspirations, with both teams off to undefeated starts.
