For a team that led the USL in attendance during their inaugural season in 2019, being able to return to Breese Stevens Field with limited fan attendance is exciting.
In their short time in existence Forward Madison has been able to harness the city’s love for soccer and develop a strong fan base. The announcement that the team would once again play in Madison was met with an outcry of fan support.
The Flamingos are coming off a 5-5-6 season in which they finished seventh after making it to the postseason the year before. They also parted ways with head coach and technical director Daryl Shore and hired Carl Craig as their new coach.
Forward Madison will begin their 2021 campaign away against FC Tucson on May 8 before coming home to Breese Stevens Field for their first home game in two years against North Carolina FC on May 15.
