ABA expands to New Orleans with Crescent City Bokor

INDIANAPOLIS — The American Basketball Association (ABA) today announced that the league will be expanding with a new team in New Orleans, LA, the Crescent City Bokor. “Having a team in New Orleans has been a goal of the ABA for quite some time,” stated ABA CEO Joe Newman. “And in Iceyunjiek Parker, we have a great new owner who should be very successful on an off the court.”

Icey is a native of New Orleans and has a huge love of sports.  A graduate of Elanor McMain High School, she excelled in basketball before attending and graduating from Northwestern State University with a BS in Biology and is now pursuing a Masters of Science in Emergency Management at Columbia Southern University.

“Serving the city of New Orleans as a paramedic has been by greatest joy and pleasure,” added Ms. Parker.

She is also CEO of Geaux Play Sports, Inc, a non-profit organization that provides the youth of NO opportunities via sports and is the owner of the New Orleans Nightmare Women’s Tackle football team and the Crescent City VoodouX women’s basketball team in the WABA.
