STONY BROOK, N.Y. (BVM) — The Stony Brook Seawolves have been off to a busy start adding talent through the transfer portal. The Seawolves most recent pickup comes from Fairleigh Dickinson where graduate transfer Jahlil Jenkins started 114 games.

“We are thrilled to add a player with Jahlil’s skill set to our team,” Stony Brook coach Geno Ford said in a press release. “He has had an unbelievable run at FDU. We feel he can come in and give our team a real boost. He can impact the game in a variety of ways, and he has had a real knack for playing well in huge games. He is simply a winner and will be a welcome addition to the program.”

The 6-foot guard racked up 1,698 points during his collegiate career with the Knights, averaging 14.4 points, 4.0 assists and 1.6 steals per game. The Jenkins transfer was the most recent news for the Seawolves, who have returned guard Elijah Olaniyi after one season with Miami and added Anthony Roberts as a transfer from St. Bonaventure.

Olaniyi spent his first three years with Stony Brook before transferring to play at Miami last season, where he averaged 10.5 points and 5.1 rebounds per game. The Seawolves are looking to get back on track next season after going 9-14 in 2020-21.
