Holy Cross adds Nolan Dorsey from Lobos

WORCESTER, Mass. (BVM) — Holy Cross men’s basketball will have a new guard on the roster after the addition of New Mexico transfer Nolan Dorsey. The 6-foot-5 rising sophomore from the Lobos appeared in eight games in his opening season, totaling 65 minutes.

“We are really excited about the addition of Nolan Dorsey to our program,” Holy Cross head men’s basketball coach Brett Nelson said. “He is someone who we recruited out of high school, so we are very familiar with everything he brings to the table. He has really good size for a guard, has great versatility and makes everyone around him better. We expect him to make an immediate impact as part of a dynamic incoming class that will join the strong group we have returning.”

Dorsey will join a couple of other incoming Crusaders in forward Austin Lewis, guard Kyrell Luc and guard/forward Caleb Kenney. The 2020 graduate of Millbrook High School in Raleigh, N.C., helped lead the school to a conference championship in 2018 and was named all-conference as a junior.

Holy Cross is coming off a 5-11 season in 2021 and experienced Covid-19related cancellations in the team’s opening matchup against Loyola (MD) in the Patriot League Tournament.
