Lawton baseball game postponed
LAWTON, Okla. (BVM) — This past Thursday, the Lawton Eisenhower Eagles faced off with Ardmore High School while Lawton High School faced off against Putnam City. For the Eagles, they would have a successful game. In the very first inning, Eisenhower scored 11 runs. The Eagles would bring across one more run for a final score of 12-1.
A total of eight Eagle batters reached base via the walk. If the Eagles baseball team can continue to see the ball well, more victories lie ahead.
Lawton was celebrating senior night, but the Wolverines’ special night would be spoiled. The Pirates started the scoring off early and when the game ended, the final score read 19-0 in favor of Putnam City.
The two Lawton-based baseball teams originally scheduled to face off Saturday. But due to bad weather, the Lawton Wolverines and the Eisenhower Eagles matchup was called off. Eisenhower will face off against Lawton MacArthur on Monday.
