Henry Coleman III is heading to College Station

COLLEGE STATION, Texas (BVM) — The transfer portal has struck again. This time the Texas A&M Aggies make a splash.

Former Duke power forward Henry Coleman III has announced that he will be transferring to Texas A&M. Coleman was ranked as the No.9 power forward and No. 55 overall prospect according to 247Sports.

Coleman saw little to no time during his time at Duke. In 19 games he averaged just five minutes. He also averaged 1.1 points and 1.4 rebounds. This led him to enter the transfer portal.

Coleman was receiving interest from schools such as Pittsburgh, VCU and Virginia Tech.

He ultimately decided to attend Texas A&M where Buzz Williams resides as the head basketball coach. Williams had recruited Coleman out of high school when Williams was the head basketball coach at Virginia Tech. Clearly Coleman hasn’t forgotten Williams’ interest in him as a player and now he’s on his way to College Station.

Now, Coleman will look to help the Aggies improve upon their disappointing 8-10 record from last season. He joins Manny Obaseki and four-star guard Wade Taylor. They’ll all be aiming to get the Aggies back to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2018.
