The future looks bright for Space Coast Vipers boys basketball team

COCOA, Fla. — Connor Walden is a senior this year and a team manager for the Space Coast Vipers basketball team. For senior night, he made a big bucket to start the game. Connor has brought tons of smiles and positivity to the team this year and the guys truly love having him around. He’s an amazing young man and a proud viper.

“I’m very lucky to have had Connor as a student and a manager for our basketball team. He takes joy in making everyone else’s day better and we will definitely miss him,” said Coach Kenny Herbst.

The Viper boys’ basketball team played tremendously hard all season long. They had a big upset win over Heritage and were constantly in every ball game despite being shorthanded. Defensively, the Vipers held their opponents to below 50 points per game. Cam Banks led the way offensively this year averaging 18.4 points per game. Quintin Fulton was a defensive stopper and chipped in 8 points per game. The Vipers only had 6 players and were in a one possession battle in the 4th quarter of their district game against a tough Cocoa team. Although the Vipers’ season ended there, the future looks optimistic as Space Coast will return 8 players on the varsity roster.
