Lauren Lucy has record-setting success at Collegiate School in both track and field events

RICHMOND, Va. — Lauren Lucy started pole vaulting her freshman year of high school at Collegiate School and that same year, she set the school record for the spring Pole Vault at 10’6.75. She was also part of the 4×100 team and the team was able to set a new school record as well.

She had the opportunity to go to Freshman New Balance Nationals and earned 10th place overall. She has also received the Varsity Coaches award for Collegiate through the track program. She has continued to compete in Pole Vault ever since and has again beat her own record to a height of 11’3.75 at Adidas Nationals, where she placed 6th in the Open National Championships. She loves track and Pole Vaulting because it has given her a place to release some stress from the school day as well as a place to push her abilities and challenge herself to new goals and accomplishments. Congratulations, Lauren!
