Hebron Christian Academy’s Luttrell booming as a prospect

DACULA, Ga. (BVM) — Hebron Christian Academy football has a star in the making. Class of 2023 two-way standout Jack Luttrell has been making waves in the prep football world, with offers from a number of Power Five schools having already been made before he even touches the field for his junior campaign.

Last year the Lions struggled going 3-7, but Luttrell’s stock got set on a strong upward trajectory. As a receiver, the 6-foot, 185-pound Luttrell led the team in receiving yards with 778 and also caught four touchdown passes. Outside of now-South Carolina Gamecock QB Colten Gauthier, Luttrell had the most yards on the squad.

But as a safety, the position he’s getting recruited by so many colleges for, Luttrell made his biggest mark. He had a team-leading 80 tackles with the next closest player getting 46. He forced two fumbles and corralled one interception, wreaking havoc on opposing offenses.

The latest in Luttrell’s recruiting process had him visiting Notre Dame University for the Irish Invasion recruiting camp. Team officials took him on a tour of the campus and its facilities, and then it was Luttrell’s turn to show them a little something, and he impressed on the field.

While many have early predictions that he’ll end up at Notre Dame, Luttrell also fields offers from Arkansas, Tennessee and a couple of in-state schools: Georgia Tech and Georgia State. Plus, with two more years to go, plenty of schools could continue to extend offers to the up-and-coming prospect.
