Cameron Threatt enters transfer portal
STARKVILLE, Miss. (BVM) — Former Lewisburg High School standout Cameron Threatt has entered the transfer portal. A popular decision for players who didn’t see action during their freshman year, Threatt will be looking to join a new team.
He joined the Bulldogs back in 2020 but didn’t see any action during his first year. According to 247Sports, Threatt was ranked as the nation’s No. 63 cornerback and Mississippi’s No. 25 prospect. Along with Mississippi State, Threatt received offers from Nebraska, Missouri and Kentucky.
Threatt isn’t the only Bulldog to enter the transfer portal. Geor’quarius Spivey, Dontea Jones, JaVonta Payton and others also entered the portal.
The Bulldogs have taken some hits with the transfer portal being so popular among players. But even with a handful of players leaving, Mike Leach and his coaching staff will do their best to get the Bulldogs back to the top of the SEC this season.
