Ali Campbell named to 2021 U.S. Women’s National Indoor Team for field hockey

BOYERTOWN, Pa. (BVM) — On June 14, the 2021-2022 U.S. Women’s National Indoor Team roster for field hockey was made public and Ali Campbell was one of 18 to make the list. Campbell is a 2010 graduate from Boyertown Area Senior High School who went on to play for the Maryland Terrapins.

While a Terp, she became a part of two NCAA DI National Champion team titles (2010 and 2011). In 2013, she joined the U.S. Women’s National Team and has since been climbing up the ladder.

Campbell, a defender, leads the U.S. women’s national hockey senior squad with 37 caps. The 29-year-old has world championship experience — most notable for winning gold in the 2017 Indoor Pan American Cup.

Joining her on the U.S. Women’s National Indoor Team roster includes 11 other Pennsylvania natives.

Ali Campbell (Boyertown, Pa.), Samantha Carlino (Kennett Square, Pa.), Kennedy Cliggett (Warrington, Pa.), Sierra Espeland (Fredericksburg, Va.), Noelle Frost (Glenwood, Md.), Ryleigh Heck (Berlin, N.J.), Annika Herbine (Macungie, Pa.), Megan Maransky (Blue Bell, Pa.), Anarose McDonough (Kennett Square, Pa.), Alaina McVeigh (Lansdale, Pa.), Madison Orobono (Macungie, Pa.), Sabrina Rhodes (Middletown, Del.), Hope Rose (Dauphin, Pa.), Ashley Sessa (Schwenksville, Pa.), Kelly Smith (Downingtown, Pa.), Kasey Tapman (Pasadena, Md.), Elizabeth Yeager (Rye, N.Y.), Corinne Zanolli (Newtown Square, Pa.).

What has yet to be announced publicly is the 12-person roster for the 2021 Indoor Pan American Cup, which will be played from June 25 to June 27. But, considering Campbell’s experience in the program, she has a high chance of representing at the international game.
