Reggie Bush II commits to Baylor
WACO, Texas (BVM) — The Baylor football program received verbal commitments from high school recruits last weekend. One of those verbal commits was defensive back Reggie Bush II.
“First off, I’d like to thank my family, friends, and coaches for helping me become who I am today,” Bush said in a tweet. “I appreciate all the coaches who believed in me and gave me the opportunity to play at the next level. With that being said, I am blessed to share that I’ve decided to continue my academic and athletic career at Baylor University!”
The 6-foot-1, 185-pound athlete played football and participated in track and field for Independence High School this past season.
Bush has rushed for 671 yards during his football career, scored 11 TDs and has averaged nearly eight yards a carry. The Independence Knights finished with an overall record of 5-5 last year, So Bush and the Knights will look to bounce back in 2021.
Along with a successful prep football career, Bush has also had success on the Knights track and field team.
