Bay City Central suffers disappointing loss to Ortonville-Brandon
ORTONVILLE, Mich. (BVM) — Brandon high clobbered Bay City Central 65-30 at home on Aug. 27 in one of the craziest varsity football games in the season opener. It was a monumental loss as Central allowed the most points in a game since South Western scored 73 in 1973.
Brandon comfortably led into halftime with 41 points on the board. Central tried their best to close the gap numerous times in the game, but their poor defensive efforts saw them concede more on the other end.
Brandon threw for two touchdowns and rushed for seven others in those 65 points they scored. Kyle Sporman passed for 249 yards and two touchdowns, connecting with Ben Sporman three times for 70 yards, and a touchdown.
It was an insane night at Ortonville, especially for lovers of good offense, but Bay City Central will remember that night as one of their worst.
