Providence Pirates sign three players to roster

PROVIDENCE, R.I. — The Providence Pirates announce today that they have signed three free agents to their roster. Players Kevin Briggs (F, 7’0, Providence, RI) Tommy Garrick Jr. (G, 6’4, Seekonk, MA), and Shane DaRosa (G, 6’0, Pawtucket, RI).

Kevin Briggs, a former college star at ASA Miami, is a basketball journeymen. Who has played professionally all around the world. His size and basketball experience will be a great addition to the Providence Pirates roster.

Tommy Garrick Jr. is from Seekonk, MA and played college basketball for Johnson & Wales University in Rhode Island where he thrived on both ends of the floor. Garrick Jr., a former Pirates competitor has now joined his local team to add an immediate impact on both ends of the game.

Shane DaRosa, the exciting and highly anticipated guard will be making his Providence Pirates debut this year. DaRosa, a Pawtucket, RI native, returns to his home state to add instant offense to the Pirates roster. Before his signing with the Pirates, DaRosa was playing basketball overseas in Portugal, Spain, for the Cape Verde National Selection team and in the A.B.A. There DaRosa averaged an impressive 20 points per game and 6 assists to go along with his 47% 3-point shooting. DaRosa will likely add a great amount of playmaking and shooting to the Pirates roster.
