Mendham’s varsity field hockey girls defeat West Morris
MENDHAM, N.J. — The key takeaways from the Mendham and West Morris Central girls field hockey game Tuesday night were seniors Clara Bravstein, Daphne King, and Kate Chittenden. They each scored a goal, per NJ.com. Ultimately, this led to the victory over West Morris 3-2 on the road. While the seniors delivered on the points sophomore Riley Reardon chipped in by recording assists to help Mendham build momentum.
After they gained the 1-0 lead at the half this snowballed into a 3-1 lead after three periods. Going into the fourth, West Morris seemed to pick up steam but they gain momentum a tad bit later in the game and it cost them. Seniors Ellen Gomez and Abby Thornton scored for West Morris which narrowed the gap, however, they lost steam shortly after.

The Minutemen were able to prevail and they improve to 2-1 while West Morris falls to 1-2.
