Webster University men’s soccer is on a tear of late
ST. LOUIS — With their 3-0 win over the Blue Jays of Westminster, the Gorloks have now won six straight games. They’re now 8-1 on the season and have improved to 4-0 in St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference play.
Goalie Matt Coffey shut down any attempt by Westminster to score, recording five saves for his second shutout of the season.
Midfielder and Forward Carlos Llamas led the way, scoring two goals in the four shots he took during the game. He’s now up to five goals on the season.
Mark Moore and Aamahn Murvin each recorded assists. Murvin also had a goal of his own, opening the scoring in the 11th minute.
In total, Webster had 16 shots, eight of which were on goal. Westminster had 12 shots and also led the corner count with five.
The Gorloks will be back in action tomorrow at 7:30 p.m. CT, as they welcome the Eureka College Red Devils for another SLIAC matchup.
