Nick Kalenik brings his passion for swimming and diving to Mill Creek High School

BRASELTON, Ga. — Nick Kalenik is considered one of the best students and swimmers at Mill Creek High School. His passion for swimming was seen from a very young age, and he has succeeded in the pool, competing with his schoolmate, Jake Magahey, a top swimming recruit in the state.

During his junior season, Kalenik had an excellent turnout, finishing third in the state in the 500-yard freestyle. In addition, he finished fourth in the 200-yard freestyle.

Kalenik also trains alongside Jake Magahey daily at SwimAtlanta; for him, this is a privilege. Kalenik has fun swimming and doesn’t grieve if he cannot break the records. He is a boy who has handled swimming with professionalism and maturity at a young age.

Rick Creed, his coach at Mill Creek, has commented that Nick Kalenik is a versatile young professional dedicated to swimming and diving. He claims that Kalenik trains hard to go to any event and help his team.

Kalenik is very happy because he has swum and dive with talented people who push him to be better in the sport at a young age. His coaches at Mill Creek High School and SwimAtlanta have commented that he is an excellent teammate and praise him for being selfless and enjoying swimming with passion.

In another school, because of his discipline and dedication, Kalenik would be a star swimmer, but at Mill Creek High School, he shares all the events with his partner Magahey. This also happens at the SwimAtlanta club, where both team members share training and events.

Chris Davis, coach of the SwimAtlanta club, has said that Kalenik works hard and is constant and determined. Thanks to his hard work and dedication, he has earned a spot in the pool and has become one of the best swimmers in the state.

Thanks to his skills, he can make a great team with Magahey; they have made the Mill Creek High School relays efficient and incredible. Kalenik has been awarded the Iron Hawk Award three times by Mill Creek High School for winning state qualifying times at events. Likewise, Kalenik has twice won the award for the most dedicated athlete chosen by his teammates.

Because of his interest in helping his team, he is respected and loved by all his classmates and team. He is an outstanding and disciplined student who should be a role model for other athletes or students.

In 2020, Nick Kalenik was recognized for his feats in swimming and diving and his academic dedication. In his senior class, he ranked third, which was a great achievement because in his class is full of many high-achieving students.
