Dallas Stars 2021-22 season preview
DALLAS (BVM) — It was a disappointing 2020-21 season for the Dallas Stars. After reaching the Stanley Cup Final in the 2019-2020 season, the Stars didn’t even reach the playoffs last season. This was probably expected with Tyler Seguin and Ben Bishop out the whole year due to injury, but the Stars are ready to reach the Stanley Cup Playoffs again.

Returning players
Tyler Seguin is without a doubt the most important player for the Stars. If he can get back to his normal self (64.5 points a season in Dallas), there is no reason the Stars can’t compete for a playoff spot.
Miro Heiskanen signed an 8-year, $67.6 million contract this summer. It made him the sixth-highest paid defenseman in the league.
“Since joining us, it has been clear that Miro is part of a collection of young, rising stars that are now playing in the National Hockey League,” Stars general manager Jim Nill said in a press release. “As an organization, we truly feel that Miro has just scratched the surface of his ability and will be in the Norris Trophy discussion for years to come.”
MIROOOOOOOO! 🙌
We have signed Miro Heiskanen to an 8-year contract extension through the 2028-29 season

Season outlook
The NHL is back to four divisions this year. And it’s going to be a tough test for the Stars. In the Central Division, you have the Chicago Blackhawks, the Stanley Cup Favorite Colorado Avalanche and the Nashville Predators.
There are plenty of ways that the Stars can win the division and make it to the playoffs. But with Seguin, Heiskanen and Denis Gurianov back, the Stars have a great chance of reaching the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
