Former LSU commit Aaron Anderson opens up recruitment
NEW ORLEANS (BVM) — As the college football season rages on, recruits are still making decisions regarding their athletic futures. One of those recruits is Aaron Anderson who recently decommitted from LSU.
Anderson made this announcement after Coach Ed Orgeron announced that he will not be coming back following the 2021-22 season.
“I feel like it’s best for me to reopen my recruitment because Coach O was the main reason I committed to LSU,” Anderson said to Jeremiah Gray of gsportz. “We had a special bond outside of football & he really made me feel like I was his family.”

Since Anderson opened his recruitment again, there is one team that is seen as a suitable destination: the Alabama Crimson Tide. Anderson took the official visit to Tuscaloosa back on June 4.
“Alabama has been recruiting me hard for a while,” Anderson said to Gray. “Coach Golding and I have a real tight relationship. And with him being from Louisiana we relate on a lot of different things. I took an official visit there and I’ve been to a game there this season, so I know exactly what they have to offer.”
Anderson had 36 catches for 678 yards and eight TDs during the 2020 season.
Ultimately, Anderson has a big decision to make. He could stay with the Tigers, but with the head coaching position in limbo, that seems like a long shot. Or he may end up playing for arguably the greatest college football coach ever in Nick Saban.
Wherever he suits up, Anderson is likely to find success on the gridiron.
