Myrtle Beach High wide receiver Adam Randall staying close to home at Clemson

Myrtle Beach, S.C. — Four star wide receiver Adam Randall, the 15th ranked for his position and 104th player overall, is a member of the 2022 recruiting class for Clemson University that ranks tenth nationally in recruiting. While he has much to look forward to, Randall is currently a leader for his Myrtle Beach High School team that has only lost one game thus far. His efforts on the season have earned him the distinction as a finalist for the Mr. Football South Carolina Award.

Earning one of the top five spots for Mr. Football award is an amazing achievement, especially when you consider that he has dealt with injuries in the past.

“With him completely healthy, it’s neat to see,” Coach Wilson said. “The last two years kind of got stolen from us, just because he missed some time. At the end of last year, he was hobbled — he was probably 50-60%. He had never been completely healthy throughout the season like he was last year. I think that’s a big part of seeing what we’re seeing now.”

It’s important to note that despite the previous injury concerns, Adam Randall did commit to Clemson University on Christmas day in 2020. Why was Clemson University so intrigued by the young man’s potential during an injury-filled season?

“The Tigers have shown a preference for big wide receivers with speed on the outside,” Clemson analyst Adam Lucket claimed. “This allows the offense to have a size advantage over most cornerbacks, while also having the necessary speed to push the defense vertically. Randall appears to have both traits. At 6-foot-3 and nearly 200 pounds, this is a prospect that is going to tower over most corners.”

The prominent university understood his talent and showed faith that he would recover, and thus far, they’re interest was proven correct. As to what the deciding factor was, Randall cites proximity to family as a key reason for choosing the Tigers.

“They have a great program, it is in-state, and my family will be able to see me play,” Randall told All Clemson. “The coaching staff has been very supportive, and I like the fact that the offense fits me well as a wide receiver.”

“They are getting a player who is hard working and doesn’t mind sacrificing.”

With the playoffs around the corner for Adam Randall and the Myrtle Beach Seahawks, the young wide receiver will attempt to put on a show for himself, his family and his teammates. They earned the No.1  media ranking in the state’s polls following the win in their last game of the regular season against the North Myrtle Beach Chiefs.
