Keiser MBB’s Marko Radulovic is the model student-athlete

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — Juggling the dual role of student-athlete is a precarious act. Often, the individual tends to lean and favor one side more than the other, which is a perfectly natural and a common inclination. This is due to the desire of wanting to dedicate your all to one aspect in the hopes of achieving the goal of being the best in that field. Logically speaking, that is a sound and safe strategy but there are those who believe they can do it all, that they can locate the balance of being an academically successful student and a productive athlete. It might seem fantastical, but in the case of Marko Radulovic, the balancing act is a reality.

The 6-foot-4 guard from Ivanjica, Serbia, is entering his fifth year with the Keiser Seahawks basketball team where he averaged 9.1 points and 5.4 rebounds in 30 games last season. His most impressive game came against Ave Maria on Senior Day where he notched up 22 points and 13 rebounds. If we were to simply look at his stat line from the 2020-21 season, it would reflect that he’s a reliable shooter. Radulovic had a 46.6 field goal percentage, a 42.7 three-point percentage and an 89.5 free throw percentage. Those are some impressive numbers and definitely worthy of a starting place.

Last season, he did start 23 of the 30 games he featured in and was named to the Academic All-Conference team. This is bestowed on student-athletes who have earned a 3.30 GPA in each of the two semesters of a given year. So not only is Radulovic a spectacular shooter but he’s also accomplished academically. The guard is majoring in business administration, and when combined with his knowledge of basketball, there’s the likelihood that he will desire to apply for an administrative position in professional basketball. It would be a wise career move given his aptitude and love for the game.

Radulovic is an intelligent person who can’t let go of basketball. His desire to find the balance between being both a student and an athlete has so far worked for him. It is a rarity to find in one person someone who is an outstanding shooter of the ball but also possesses the cognitive muscle to perform well academically.

Knowing Radulovic’s hunger to succeed, his accomplishments won’t be limited by what he has already achieved with the Keiser Seahawks. He plans to follow up on his performances and do well both on and off the court.
