Team X5 of Extreme All-Stars always push themselves to new limits

MELBOURNE, Fla. — The X5 Team of Extreme All-Stars competed this past May at the D2 Summit. This event held at the Disney Wide World of Sports is the season’s final event for Cheer and Dance. It is like the Super Bowl in football. The competition is not one that any team can sign up for. In fact, it is by invite only and only the best teams in the nation are awarded the chance to compete. The winner of The Summit is considered your Super Bowl Champion.

Mandy Field, owner of Extreme All-Stars and Coach of X5 says, “The cheerleaders perform well because they train hard and are mentally strong enough to handle the pressure. Coaches and athletes don’t settle for mediocracy and it shows on the floor.” Besides cheer instruction and routines, the athletes are also taught life lessons. One of those is, “to never quit during hard times and that with hard work anything can be accomplished“, says Field.

This is not a seasonal sport. These young athletes practice year-round and they don’t take time off. Field says, “They need to keep their bodies in peak condition and work year-round to maintain their skills.” The dedication these athletes have to their sport shows in the awards they win and the competitions in which they are invited to compete in.
