INDIANAPOLIS — The American Basketball Association (ABA) today announced the addition of the Las Vegas Dream to its growing number of new expansion teams getting set for the 2022-2023 season.
“We’re really pleased to have Troy Jackson in the ABA,” stated ABA CEO Joe Newman. “Troy is considered one of the top 20 players ever in the SWAC Conference while at Alcorn State University. He played pro ball for 12 years in Australia, Czech Republic, Dominican Republic and Canada before retiring to go into business and education. He’s won 5 professional titles and 3 MVPs and currently teaches at a Charter School in LV as well as owning a barbershop and boutique store.”
“The Las Vegas Dream will be dedicated to introducing a family atmosphere and a great brand of entertainment for the Vegas community and youth to enjoy with affordable ticket prices,” added Jackson. “The name Las Vegas Dream comes from the Vegas lights, the excitement already here from many sports teams and dreams coming true here. We’re looking forward to adding much to this great sports and entertainment city.”
