Gabe Brkic is heading to the Minnesota Vikings

NORMAN, Okla. (BVM) – The past few days for Gabe Brkic have been stressful. With Brkic being the only Sooner not drafted, the future was unclear for the former Oklahoma kicker.

One could assume that over the following weeks, Brkic would’ve attended some training camps for NFL teams that still may be looking for a kicker. He wasn’t sure what to do until May 5.

Brkic has a record of scoring 82.6 percent of his field goals at Oklahoma. And throughout his entire career with the Sooners, he has only missed one of his 160 extra-point attempts and has a career-longest field goal of 56 yards.

Brkic has had a successful run at the University of Oklahoma and was sure to be a shoo-in for the draft. Regardless of his unsuccessful experience, he still came out of it with a deal.

Brkic will be a force to be reckoned with once he officially begins his season in the fall, and it will be exciting to watch him kick his way to the top in the NFL next year.
