Cameo has been involved in cross-country since the seventh grade. She’s had an impressive high school career so far, including two state champion titles (freshman & junior year) and a state runner-up title (sophomore year). The members of the Minster cross-country team share a tight bond as they spend numerous hours training to be the best athletes that they can be. Cameo claims that although she and her teammates remain focused and competitive throughout their season, they also make sure to keep the atmosphere entertaining and fun. This balance is essential in creating a team dynamic in which the members can push each other to be better runners.

Being a member of a team has taught Cameo the significance of each person taking on their individual role in order to support the team as a whole. As a junior, Cameo has taken on the responsibility of an upperclassman by being a leader for her team. She and her teammates are all close friends who are there for each through the highs and the lows of the cross country season. From difficult practices to standing on top of the state podium, these girls stick together through it all.

Cameo is also a member of the Minster swim team. She’s had an impressive junior season, achieving 2nd place in the 200 & 500-meter freestyle in the unofficial MAC championships. In addition, she also won sectionals in the 100-meter freestyle. At regionals, she received 7th place honors in the 100-meter freestyle as well as 9th place in the 200-meter freestyle. She claims that the Minster swim team are all very close which makes their practices and team meals a lot of fun.

Furthermore, Cameo has also been a part of the Minster track team throughout her junior high and high school years. During her sophomore season, she and her 4×4 relay team received 8th place honors at the state meet.

She hopes to continue her swimming career in college while earning a degree in either education or social work. With her final seasons as a high school athlete approaching, Cameo plans to keep a positive mindset, focusing on giving it absolutely everything she has. She claims that the memories made with her teammates are far more valuable than any medal or trophy.
