Wayne State’s Comeback Falls Short to Purdue Northwest
HAMMOND, Ind. — The second-seeded Wayne State University baseball program (35-16) fell to Purdue Northwest (20-22), 7-5, in 12 innings to start day three of the GLIAC Tournament. The Warriors scored five runs in the bottom of the ninth inning to force extra innings before the Pride added a pair in the 12th to send WSU to an elimination game.
