Sophomores Hannah Welte and Liz Kalk were golden in the second day of the Midwest Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships hosted by Beloit College at Strong Stadium Saturday. The pair won the 400 hurdles and high jump respectively to lead the Buccaneers. Additionally, Brandon Joly was the league’s Elite 20 recipient, awarded to the male and female athletes at the championship with the highest grade point average.
