WESTON, Mass. — Weston Flag Football is excited to announce our third season, which will kick off Sunday, September 11th and continue for 11 weeks through November 20th.

To begin this season, we are hosting a parent/guardian and player game, where parents can join the fun and which will be coached by the Weston High School (WHS) Varsity Football captains. This is a great opportunity for players and parents alike to meet and support our Weston football program.

We have another exciting and new opportunity for parents to volunteer to coach this season along with our coaching staff. WHS Varsity Football Coach Jim Wilcon will host a couple of coaching clinics for any parents who are interested in volunteering. This will help parents understand what to do and what to look for when helping out our program. Email [email protected] if you are interested in helping us out this season!

Coach Wilcon encourages our middle school football players (Grades 6-8) to join our flag football program, because it will improve their skills and help them grow as an athlete. Our program promotes the fundamentals of football, while maintaining a fun atmosphere.

We are planning to have the 6th, 7th, and 8th graders play in one or two tournaments this fall as well. We will have additional practices for 6th-8th graders on days they are off from middle school football as well as the usual Sundays.

Lastly, we are looking to host a flag football jamboree in October over Columbus day weekend. This will be a great opportunity for players to play other towns and compete against the best!
