LYNCHBURG, Va. — Max Wayne became just the second standout in Virginia history to earn the state’s Player and Defensive Player of the Year honors, while Warner Cabaniss was celebrated as the Rookie of the Year and Mikey Thompson was named the top coach as the Christopher Newport men’s lacrosse team hauled in a host of All-State honors from the Virginia Sports Information Directors.
