Three Olympic events got tested at the 2022 49er, 49erFX, and Nacra 17 World Championships held August 31-September 5 in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Both Men’s and Women’s Skiff events were handily won by the Dutch – Bart Lambriex/ Floris van de Werken and Odile van Aanholt/ Annette Duetz – while Italians Ruggero Tita/ Caterina Banti redefined domination in the Mixed Multihull by winning 14 of the 16 qualifying races to easily capture the title before the Medal Race.
