Birmingham area golfers perform well at Southeast Mid-Amateur Four-Ball Championship

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — Leading wire-to-wire, Alan Coshatt of Birmingham, AL and Dalton Melnyk of Atlanta, GA were victorious, claiming the 4th Southeast Mid-Amateur Four-Ball Championship title.

Coshatt and Melnyk posted six-under 66 for the day. Altogether, they went 23-under 193 for the tournament.

Brent Whitehead and Kirk Whitehead of Atlanta, GA made birdie on Hole #17 and eagle on #18 to finish one stroke behind, posting a low seven-under 65 for the day. They carded a 22-under 194 for the tournament.

Harlan Winn of Birmingham, AL and Thomas Iturbe of Nashville, AL claimed third, posting a nine-under 63 to close. They fired a 21-under 195 for the tournament.
