Bonner, a native of Rowlett, Texas, is currently a graduate student at USU, pursuing a degree in sports management. He spent five seasons at Arkansas State before coming to USU for his master’s during the 2021 season.

During this last season, Bonner was awarded Mountain West Championship Game Offensive MVP. He set several single-season records in his first year, including 36 touchdown passes and 3,628 passing yards.

While in Cache Valley, Bonner has also made an effort to serve the community. “I’ve been working with businesses like Adams Wealth Advisors and USU Credit Union to do events as a personal networking opportunity for our student-athletes,” explained Bonner. He works as a host for the event as well as a speaker.

Bonner has loved doing meet-ups to see Aggie fans and take pictures. “It’s for the kids especially. I remember being their age, watching football, and wanting to be like the players on the field,” he laughed.

Watching his idols for years motivated Bonner to play football. He has loved what he’s learned while playing about teamwork and dedication. As student-athletes, they don’t get summer off; they work all year to perfect their sport and to meld as a team unit. “It takes every single one of us on the field; we have to be on the same page to make it work,” described Bonner.

He learned from a young age that he has to work for what he wants. At the last college, he didn’t play for three years but didn’t quit. His parents taught him that it takes sacrifice and dedication. With this determination, Bonner stayed focused and is now a pivotal component of Utah State Football this year.

Bonner has enjoyed Cache Valley, especially when he can take hikes with his dog. “The weather has been so nice here. It never gets too hot,” laughed Bonner, “I know a lot say it was a hot summer, but where I come from, this is beautiful weather.” He’s enjoyed the people in the community and school.

The Aggie fans have been dedicated supporters of their football team, and Bonner hopes that continues. After this, Logan Bonner’s last season of college ball, he hopes to move on to play in the NFL.
