AFC Richmond squad from ‘Ted Lasso’ playable in FIFA 23
(BVM) — While many fans are awaiting Season 3 of “Ted Lasso,” they can soon get their fix of the show in a different way.
It was announced on Wednesday that the team from the series, AFC Richmond, will be featured in the video game FIFA 23.

The game will be released on Sept. 27 and the fictional club will be added to the game with an update on Sept. 30.
EA Sports was able to do face scans for the show’s biggest characters including Ted Lasso, Roy Kent, Dani Rojas and Sam Obisanya.
Nelson Road, the club’s stadium, is also in the game.
Players can use the team in various modes such as kick-off, online seasons and career mode and can see how AFC Richmond stacks up against England’s best by swapping them with a Premier League side in career mode and attempting to bring trophies to the made-up club.
Or if they want to see what Coach Lasso can do with a different team, that’s also an option. Lasso can be selected as your playable manager and can control any team in the world.
Ted Lasso-based items will also be available throughout Ultimate Team, including kits, TIFOs and more.
The show is two seasons in on AppleTV+ and has quickly became one of the most popular series out there.
Rotten Tomatoes gave the show a 95% and IMDB gave it an 8.8 rating out of 10.
It has become one of Apple’s most valuable commodities with its success thanks to its humor and wholeheartedness that you can enjoy without even being a soccer fan.
While it has been announced that there will be a third season of the show, a release date has not yet been shared.
