AUSTIN, Texas (BVM) – Quinn Ewers and Xavier Worthy have been a dynamic duo for the Texas Longhorns’ offense thus far in 2022. Now, they are joining forces off the field, as both Worthy and Ewers have signed new NIL deals with the fast-food chain Sonic.

Earlier this week, Ewers posted a video of he and Worthy enjoying some of Sonic’s various product offerings.

Partnering with Sonic is just the latest in a bevy of NIL deals for Ewers, who has a $1.2 million NIL valuation according to On3, which is the eighth-best in college football and No. 13 in On3’s NIL 100 rankings. Just this month, the freshman quarterback has also signed NIL deals with Lucchese Bootmaker and Metabilia – the latter of which is a seven-figure NFT partnership that was originally signed back in 2021 according to ESPN’s Pete Thamel.

The new partnerships join some of Ewers’ previous NIL deals with the likes of Wrangler and Aston Martin Dallas.

Meanwhile, Worthy’s NIL evaluation of $897,000 ranks No. 17 in all of college football and No. 29 in On3’s NIL 100 rankings. The partnership with Sonic is the sophomore wide receiver’s second notable NIL deal, as back in the summer he also partnered with Ewers to sign a deal with Fortnite, which is part of Epic Games.

While plenty is happening off the field for the Texas teammates, they are continuing to find success on the field as well. Thus far on the season, the Longhorns are 4-2, suffering two close losses in an overtime contest against Texas Tech and a one-point defeat to No. 1-ranked Alabama.

Ewers was actually injured in the loss to the Crimson Tide, but the freshman quarterback returned last week to throw for 289 yards and four touchdowns in one of the most lopsided games in the Red River Rivalry, as Texas dominated Oklahoma 49-0.

Worthy caught a touchdown pass for the third straight game against Oklahoma, backing up an impressive performance in which the sophomore receiver caught seven passes for 119 yards and two touchdowns the week prior against West Virginia. On the season, the 6-foot-1 receiver from California has 24 receptions for 360 yards and four touchdowns.

Meanwhile, Ewers has thrown for over 600 yards and six touchdowns in two-plus games of action, and will look to continue Texas’ winning ways on Saturday as the No. 22-ranked Longhorns take on Iowa State at 11 a.m. CT on ABC.
