CHICAGO – Senior linebacker Joey Markasovic (New Lenox, Ill./Providence Catholic) was named the Mid-States Football Association (MSFA) Midwest League Defensive Player of the Year for the No. 11 ranked Saint Xavier University football team (9-3, 7-0 MSFA Midwest) team when the awards were announced by the league office Monday afternoon.
