ATLANTA (BVM) – Atlanta Falcons do-it-all running back Cordarrelle Patterson etched his name into the NFL history books during the team’s 27-24 victory over the Chicago Bears on Sunday. With 4 minutes and 18 seconds left in the second quarter, the 10-year veteran took a kickoff 103 yards to the end zone, his ninth such score, breaking the record for most kickoff return touchdowns by a single player in league history.
While Patterson now is in sole possession of the kickoff return touchdowns mark, he still isn’t the best return man in NFL history. There have been plenty of recognizable names who have made an impact as return specialists and though Patterson is certainly among them, there are a few whose feats surpass even his.
