For the second time this season, the Eastern Michigan University football team has swept the Mid-American Conference’s weekly awards, the conference office announced today, Nov. 28. Senior Samson Evans (Crystal Lake, Ill.-Prairie Ridge-Iowa) is the MAC West Offensive Player of the Week, while fellow upperclassmen Jose Ramirez (Lake Alfred, Fla.-Auburndale-Arizona-Riverside City) earned Defensive Player of the Week honors. Sophomore punter Mitchell Tomasek (Columbus, Ohio-Worthington Kilbourne) rounded out the accolades with his fifth MAC West Special Teams Player of the Week title this season.
