CHICO, Calif. — Freshman guard Makayla Rose poured in a career-high 23 points in a win over Fresno Pacific on Wednesday and followed that up with a 22-point performance against Chico State on Saturday night to earn her first CCAA Player of the Week award in her short time with the Warriors. Rose averaged 22.5 points, 5.5 rebounds and 3.5 steals per game over Stan State’s two games last week.
