Trinity Men’s Squash Defeats Amherst
HARTFORD, Conn. – The Trinity College Bantams blanked the visiting Amherst College Mammoths, 9-0, in men’s squash action this evening at Kellner Center. Trinity, ranked No. 6 in the nation, improves to 5-0 and will finish the fall semester at Tufts on Friday at 5 p.m. Seven Bantam wins came by 3-0 scores. Trinity junior Mohamed Sharaf (Shiekh Zayed City, Egypt) allowed just nine points at the bottom of the ladder, while sophomore Ahmed Ismail (Cairo, Egypt) outlasted Amherst’s Abhimanyu Gupta in five sets with an 11-9 victory in the fifth to clinch the No. 5 match.
