Stetson Bennett could join rare group of oldest Heisman winners
Clinton Frank, 1937 (22 years, 79 days)
Yale locked down back-to-back Heisman winners in 1936 and 1937, becoming just the first of three programs to have winners of the award in consecutive seasons. Following up Larry Kelley’s Heisman–winning effort the year before, the senior Bulldogs star rushed for 667 yards, passed for 489 yards and five touchdowns, and intercepted four passes on the year. After having to wait until his sophomore year to even get on the field following shoulder surgery his senior high school year, Frank finally secured the honor with 11 total touchdowns at the age of 22, The college standout ended his Bulldogs career with 1,244 career rushing yards, 937 passing yards, 11 interceptions and 20 touchdowns.
