9. Joe Nieuwendyk, C (1995-2002)

Nieuwendyk was traded to Dallas from the Calgary Flames and signed a five-year deal before the 1995 season. His addition proved to be essential for the Stars 

as he won the Conn Smythe Trophy, an award given to the MVP of a team during the NHL’s Stanley Cup playoffs, in 1999.

Nieuwendyk finished his tenure in Dallas with 340 points (178 goals and 162 assists) and was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2011.
