The 10 longest regular season win streaks in NBA history

19 games – Boston Celtics, 2008-09

After winning the NBA Finals during the 2007-08 season with their own “Big 3” of Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce and Ray Allen, the Celtics rolled through the early part of their schedule the next year, riding a 19-game win streak to a 27-2 record by Christmas Day. Unfortunately for the Celtics, it was the Lakers who prevented them from passing their 1999-2000 mark with a 92-83 victory on Christmas.

Though the season started with a bang for the reigning champions, it ended in disappointment for Boston. As the No. 2 seed in the Eastern Conference, the Celtics took care of business against the Chicago Bulls with a 4-3 series win in the first round but were bounced in the Eastern Conference semifinals by the surprise Orlando Magic in seven games.
