St. John’s Mourns the Passing of Anthony Sutter
QUEENS, N.Y. – The St. John’s baseball team, along with the entire athletic department and university family, mourns the passing of Anthony Sutter. A transfer from Brookdale (N.J.) Community College and sports management student, Sutter was a key member of the Red Storm infield for two years, appearing mainly at shortstop in the 1999 and 2000 campaigns. In 101 games played, seven of which were also played at third base, the former Johnnie had a career batting average of .298 (113-for-379) with 19 doubles, four triples, nine home runs and 69 RBI.
