Founders Coach William Robert, Coach Albert Hawkins, Coach Victor Dortch and Mrs. Veneisa Riddick established the 5th Quarter Athletics LLC organization in the year 2015. These coaches have a host of titles at the Liberty County recreational department and a 2019 state Basketball Championship as well as the Easter Classic Championship in 2019. Current Coaches William and Albert have had an extensive background in coaching for 20 plus years.

5th Quarter Athletics, now 5QA Black Knights, is an outstanding organization serving Hinesville and the surrounding areas. Their goal is to mentor, train and educate the youth of the surrounding areas, not only to be great at what they love, but by simply being kind, respectful and dedicated. Most of all, they encourage their youth to never give up. They are currently looking for players to JOIN THE FAMILY in 6u to 12u to play for their upcoming season in July.

They enjoy the travel system because they get to play in and against other communities, against kids they don’t know, and with skill levels they haven’t seen. It’s great for their development when an athlete stops playing only against their friends and competes in unfamiliar territory. It creates a sense of purpose and togetherness by making long lasting friendships win or lose.

5th Quarter has coached four NFL players: Raekwan McMillan (New England Patriots), Kevin Harris ( New England Patriots), Richard LeCounte (Los Angeles Rams), and Jamin Davis (Washington Commanders).  Several other athletes are in college sports now:  Markel Johnson, Anthony Parker Jr, and Tremel Walthour.

Our 5QA Parent Rep staff consists of William Robert – Executive Director, Albert Hawkins – Vice President, Anthony Parker – Player Development, Tameka Edmonds – Advocacy, Stephanie Royal – Fundraising Coordinator, Jessica Betts – Chief Administrator, Daminion Royal – Chief Financial Coordinator, and Rachael Mehaffey – Marketing and Social Media Coordinator. Our Coaches are: Bernard Green, Ricky Mehaffey, Christopher Miller, Demetirus Williams.

5QA Lady Knights is the newly established travel cheer team and is also looking for cheerleaders ages 5 and up.
