MIDDLETOWN, CT.- The Wesleyan women’s hockey team was defeated Saturday afternoon by the nationally ranked Amherst Mammoths, 3-1. This completes a two-game sweep for the Mammoths who have only lost one game all season. The game played similar to their first matchup on Friday, where the two teams went into the first period scoreless, before exploding for multiple goals in both the 2nd and 3rd period. Wesleyan loses their 4th straight game, falling to 9-6-1 (3-5 NESCAC), while Amherst improves to 16-1 (9-1 NESCAC).
