According to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, Hachimura was “unhappy” that he didn’t receive a rookie scale extension before the 2022/23 season started. Sources tell Wojnarowski that the Lakers acquired the 24-year-old with the intention of re-signing him this summer.
