Ranking the top events on LIV Golf’s 2023 schedule

(BVM) – LIV Golf will be entering its second season in 2023, as play is set to kick off at El Camaleon Golf Club in Mexico on Feb. 24-26. The remainder of the LIV Golf schedule was also announced recently and features several marquee events, some of which will be held at the same courses of notable past PGA Tour tournaments.

Of course, the controversy and drama between LIV and the PGA Tour has continued over the past several months. Among the biggest headlines came in December, as Augusta National Golf Club announced LIV golfers would be allowed to play at the Masters in April. The move seems justifiable considering there are multiple previous Masters champions who play on LIV’s tour. Yet, it could create tension among players.

That tension is already being seen elsewhere, as ahead of the DP World Tour’s Dubai Desert Classic, LIV golfer Patrick Reed reportedly threw a tee on the driving range at Rory McIlroy – one of the strongest advocates against LIV Golf – after McIlroy failed to acknowledge his greeting.

No one knows exactly what will happen next in this saga, but what is certain is that both tours will continue to move forward, and LIV has an exciting second season ahead. In 2023, the new tour will go from playing eight events to 14. Their events will also be televised this season for the first time after LIV struck a new TV deal with The CW.

The shotgun starts, three-round tournaments, drone coverage and party-like atmosphere will remain for LIV Golf events in 2023, with broadcast coverage again be conducted by play-by-play man Arlo White along with in-the-booth commentators Jerry Foltz and David Feherty.

The new season will feature many of the top names in professional golf once again as well, including guys like Paul Casey, Bryson DeChambeau, Sergio Garcia, Branden Grace, Dustin Johnson, Brooks Koepka, Phil Mickelson, Joaquin Niemann, Ian Poulter, Cameron Smith, Bubba Watson and several others.

As a result, the 2023 LIV Golf season should be very competitive, and there are several tournaments that should be must-watch TV throughout the season. Here are the top 10 LIV Golf events in 2023.
